Merry Christmas

I think the Christmas season is a season that we should focus on what we do have and not what we don't have. Don't get me wrong I do love giving and receiving presents but it shouldn't be our focus on Christmas. The most important parts of my Christmas season are being with my family and loved ones and furthering the kingdom of God. I believe that Christmas gives us many opportunities to give to the needy and to truly show the love of Jesus Christ to others, not only through giving but through loving. I think too many are worried about wordly gifts they will be recieving instead of the heavenly gifts we have already been given. Salvation is free to us, it has already been paid for. So for all of you who are stressed to max and running in a hundred directions trying to find that 'perfect' gift; the perfect gift has already been given to all of us and it's nothing that you'll find at the mall. Do you know for sure that you, your friends, and your family have received the greatest gift this Christmas season, the gift of eternal life by accepting Jesus Christ as your/their personal Lord and Savior? My Aunt Kathy passed away this past Tuesday and we know without a doubt that she is with the Lord now and knowing this is the only comforting part about her passing. She was an unconditional lover who loved people and loved her Lord. I am proud to have called her my Aunt for her time here on earth and I know one day we will meet again. So even if you feel like have nothing this Christmas, He is with you and He loves you and He is the reason for the season. Merry Christmas and may God bless you and your family.
